Wildflower holds five values of supreme importance to our Religious Community: Caring, Transcendence, Spiritual Growth, Justice, and Outreach. We define Caring as expressing love in action: for one another, for strangers, for our community and our planet. Care can seem one of the most straightforward of our values and caring grounded in love is also at the heart of our Unitarian Universalist tradition. But love and care can be romanticized, trivialized, and idealized in our culture. Religious love at its most meaningful is challenging, transforming, and grounded in reality. This worship service will explore the complexity and life-enhancing gifts of centering a religious community on values of caring and love.
