Stonewall Uprising: The Progress since and the Progress Still Needed
June 28th, 1969 is widely considered to be the most important event leading to the LGBTQ liberation movement and the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ equality in the United States. On this 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising also known as Stonewall Rebellion or Stonewall Riots, we will explore the progress made and the progress still needed for full LGBTQ+ equality and respect. Unitarian Universalism has a proud history in this area yet what are we called to do now as a religious movement to fulfill the reality of full LGBTQ+ justice.
