Shernaz García was first drawn to Unitarian Universalism because she was struck by the resonance between UU principles and some of the values and beliefs of her own faith. Drawing on her childhood experiences as part of a Parsi-Zoroastrian family in India, she will explore how these values might fit with UU principles and practices. Parsis are descendants of Persian Zoroastrians who immigrated to India to escape religious persecution. Today, the population of Parsis in India is estimated at 65,000 and dwindling.
