Perhaps one of the strongest messages from the traditional Christmas story is how life can surprise us with the unexpected.  The idea of Jesus as the messiah - the divinely anointed one - being born in a stable, resting in a manger, and their divine presence being announced to shepherds all defy our expectations of the importance of the event.  It is said that unspoken expectations are just premeditated resentments. This worship service will explore the idea of expectations with a worship service that will challenge your expectations in its worship format.
