The Value of Generosity

The Value of Generosity

Because we get to the root of things, we are radicals. When it comes to our shared value of Generosity, we are going to go deep and old, past transactional economics or even money. Let’s go find what’s at the root of Generosity and what it asks of us. Rev. Nell Newton, our guest worship leader, is the minister at San Marcos UU Fellowship. She is a lifelong UU and has served congregations around Texas. She lives in Austin with her family, two cats, a scraggly garden, and too many chickens. Children will go to their religious education class after spending time in the service.
🪘⭕ Following the service, we will have an hour-long Drum Circle led by Laura Jo Acuna to welcome in the Autumnal Equinox. Bring your drums, rattles, shakers, tambourines, rain sticks . . . your body. We’ll have some percussives to share. We will gather in the sanctuary after a pause to reset the space and reunite with children (children are welcome). As we celebrate the earth’s turning, the sanctuary offers a rich acoustic setting to foster collective energy and spiritual connection with sound and vibration. If you would like, The Vine supports food and drink carefully brought into the sanctuary space. This means you can grab a beverage and snack and join the circle.
