The Protestant Reformation: Why is it not Radical Enough for Us?

This year we are celebrating or perhaps simply acknowledging the five hundred year anniversary of the Protestant Reformation within Christianity. This schism originated with severe criticism of the Catholic church by Martin Luther and continued by John Calvin resulting in the formation of the many Protestant denominations now familiar to us. For some this realignment was not enough and resulted in a lesser known Radical Reformation where we can see the early roots of Unitarian and Universalist thinking. This worship service will explore some of these early radical thinkers and their legacy as they continue to influence our religious movement to this day.
