A wise middle school girl recently said to me "sometimes to make others comfortable, we need to be uncomfortable." Much of our focus in life is to provide comfort for ourselves and those we care about. Many of us come to our religious community seeking comfort and at times that is appropriate. Yet discomfort is at the root of growth, learning, and transformation for most people. Discomfort can signal something is wrong about circumstances which require something to change. This worship service will explore how discomfort can be a gift inviting us to seek a new path or transform the circumstances around us.
