“Is this the World We Created?”: The Music and Message of Freddie Mercury
More than three decades after his death, the life and work of singer, performer, and influential songwriter Freddie Mercury continue to inspire generations, and his music serves as anthems on the soundtrack of life around the world. What lessons are we still learning from this pioneering rock star about the power of music, intersectional identity, community, self-expression, and making an impact?
Our opening song this month is Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie. Our closing song is It’s in Everyone of Us by Freddie Mercury and Cliff Richards.
Children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade will NOT be meeting in their classes and will instead stay in the sanctuary for the intergenerational worship service. The nursery is available for babies and children from 6 weeks to 5 years old during the entire service period.
