Incarnation of the Divine: I forgot, is Christmas a Religious Holiday?
The commercialization of Christmas and the Christian religious focus on Easter can often overshadow the important religious meaning of Christmas. The Easter idea of resurrection is well-known and powerful. Less well known but also powerful is the Christmas idea of the Incarnation, the birth of the divine in human form which can be inspiring as well as problematic. This worship service will explore what the idea of the incarnation of the divine can mean to us today from our Unitarian Universalist perspective.
