Fire Communion and Remembrance Ceremony
The winter holiday season has come to a close and we have just entered a new year. It is a liminal time in which we hover between the year just finished and the year to come. What do we need to let go of or release in order to consider inviting in something new? What do we want to bring with us into 2025 that will help us continue to learn, to grow, to become more of the person we want to be? What new is beckoning us to commitment and action? In a service of readings, ritual, and music, we will have the opportunity to collectively consider this passage from past to future.
This is also our annual remembrance ceremony where we will celebrate the lives of Wildflowers who have passed during 2024 and those two- and four-legged beloveds whose loss we are grieving. You are invited to share pictures or other artifacts of those loved ones on our altar or electronically. Send images to project during the service to worship@wildflowerchurch.org by January 4th.
Children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade will be meeting in person in their classes after being present in the sanctuary for the first part of the service. The nursery is available for babies and children from 6 weeks to 5 years old during the entire service period. You may choose either option for your child if they are 5 years old.
