Fire Communion and Remembrance Ceremony

The winter holiday season is winding down and we look toward a new year. It is a liminal time in which we hover between the year just finished and the year to come. What do we need to let go of or release in order to consider inviting in something new? What do we want to bring with us into 2023 that will help us continue to learn, to grow, to become more of the person we want to be? What new is beckoning us? In a candle-lighting service of readings, ritual, and music, we will be led to consider this passage from past to future. This is also our annual remembrance ceremony where we will celebrate the lives of those two- and four-legged beloveds from our congregation who have passed during 2022. You are invited to share pictures or other artifacts on our altar. Those attending on Zoom can share those images electronically with worship@wildflowerchurch.org and we will project them during this part of our service. There will be no childcare and no CYRE classes this Sunday.
