Trans People Are Sacred

speaker:
speaker: Jonah Welch | The polarizing of everything into male and female, even within religion, is inescapable. But what of people who cross gender lines, live on the line, or don’t recognize the lines at all? We recognize the divine feminine and divine masculine, but what about divine androgyny? This service celebrates the sacredness of exploration of gender and the sacredness of living our truths. Jonah Welch is a transgender and non-binary artist making abstract work that blends trans embodiment with traditions of occult magic. Their art depicts non-binary embodiment in particular as an expression of a long human lineage.
