Taking the Risk of Loving Broken People
Why would the Divine even bother engaging in a relationship with mankind with all of its faults, failings and disappointments - why make them a central part of their plan? Choosing to love people is an inefficient, often messy and often disappointing prospect - for the Divine and for us. But as space has been made for us in the plan, we can make space for those who struggle - not just to be a part but to be included and advocated for. Learning to love others often starts with appreciating the sometimes-tough task others have in loving us - including God! But recognizing both our belovedness and the power of our love to give helps us connect to our true purpose.
