Kindling the Light of Community
Solstice marked our turning toward the light as we navigate the darkness of winter.
How do we hold the light for each other in the face of so much uncertainty and collapse in our world?
The Tree of Life of our ancient ancestors illuminates the possibility of deeply-rooted community that meets the needs of all. Together we will explore what it means to shine the light on injustice and live into olam ha'ba, the world we are creating.
Our opening and closing music during the month of December are Go Tell it on the Mountain, Fannie Lou Hamer’s Civil Rights anthem version as made famous by Peter, Paul and Mary, and Someday at Christmas by Stevie Wonder.
Children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade will NOT be meeting in their classes and are invited to participate in this intergenerational worship service. The nursery is available for babies and children from 6 weeks to 5 years old during the entire service period.
