In Solidarity: Ingathering Sunday: “There is Room For You In The Circle”
This Sunday, our annual ingathering service, Simone Monique Barnes, our Director of Membership and Spiritual Life, guides us through what it means to be in solidarity with one another as a congregation and a community.
This service will also include the annual Water Communion, a sacred ritual in UU church, which celebrates our connection to one another in community, the flow and cycle of life that water represents, and our shared Unitarian Universalist values (justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence and generosity with love at the center). Come gather with other Wildflowers in this intergenerational ritual.
Our opening and closing hymns during the month of September are: “Sigamos Adelante / Keep on Moving Forward” and “Busca el Amor” (#1004 in the teal Singing the Journey hymnal). During September and October 2025 our worship services explore the theme “in solidarity.”
Immediately following the worship service, Simone also invites the congregation to stay (both in person or Zoom) for an important Conversation with the Director in the sanctuary, highlighting some upcoming worship experiences and church activities ahead, some changes the worship team is planning, and some current joys and concerns, realities and dreams about the Future of Wildflower. Coffee and cookies will be available in the Community Room afterwards.
Children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade will be meeting in person in their classes after being present in the sanctuary for the first part of the service. The nursery is available for babies and children from 6 weeks to 5 years old during the entire service period. You may choose either option for your child if they are 5 years old.
