Simone Monique Barnes (she/her) serves as the Director of Membership and Spiritual Life of Wildflower Church. She also serves on the national leadership team of Black Women of the Chalice, and is a member of LREDA, UUAMP, DRUUMM, and BLUU. She loves walking labyrinths, spending time outdoors in nature, swimming, and having afternoon tea. She also loves joy practices like laughter yoga, Afro Flow Yoga, meditation, and the arts, which help provide the fuel she needs to stay in “good trouble” doing the work to build and nurture the beloved community.

Lin moved to Austin from the piney woods of East Texas back in 93 when Austin was still "weird".  She has been with Wildflower since 2015 and is also the office admin for our sister congregation, Faith Presbyterian Church. She enjoys relaxing on the weekends with her husband and pets, reading, cooking, and binge watching bad tv. She feels her values are directly and strongly aligned with both churches and is happy to be part of 2 organizations that work for the betterment of society.

Lin works from home on Tuesdays and is in the office for limited hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and most Fridays.

 

She is usually available via email from 10 am until 3:30 pm Tuesday through Friday.

Cindy has provided bookkeeping and accounting services as a staff accountant as Ray, Libby & Fischer CPAs, PC.  She provides remote accounting services in the Austin, San Antonio and Milwaukee areas.  Cindy enjoys travel, gardening, and spending time with her two children and four grandchildren.
