Celebrating Joy & Transformation on the Path

Each year on the May full moon, many Buddhists celebrate the Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death (Vesak, Buddha Day). This holiday is one of three summer holidays that successively celebrate the Triple Gem, or the Buddha, the dhamma or dharma (teaching), and the sangha (community). This Sunday, join us on Zoom for a service of chanting and celebration in honor of the Buddha’s life and teachings. Sarah Schieffer Riehl (she/they) is a Wildflower member who practices and teaches meditation and chanting with the Samatha Foundation of North America. This lay tradition is part of Theravada Buddhism and was introduced to the UK in the 1960s by a Thai former monk. This is a Zoom-only service. There will be no Children's or Youth Religious Education classes.
