This team began in the spring of 2018 to address the diverse issues and needs of our diverse disability community at Wildflower. Our 2018 goals prioritized eliminating all architectural and physical barriers to full inclusion and accessibility for children and adults with disabilities at Wildflower. We are actively working with Faith Presbyterian church to eliminate all defined barriers and hope these will be resolved by this year. In 2019, our team expanded our outreach goals to provide information, education and referral to fellow Wildflowers with their questions and concerns about all disability related issues. We are also in process of developing education and training for other Wildflower teams about disability etiquette and culture. The DAIA team is a small yet committed team of diverse Wildflowers with personal and or unique professional experience in the disability field. We meet approximately quarterly and communicate mostly by email in between meetings.
