Minister

Dear Wildflowers,
In consultation with other local ministers and with unanimous approval of our Board of Trustees we are suspending in-person worship services, Children/Youth Religious Education, Childcare, and after worship Fellowship time until further notice.

We will be moving to online worship services using Zoom. We are also having an online midweek service along with the Sunday service to help people stay connected with the wider community. We understand this is a difficult decision but given the lack of clear guidance from our government and the uncertainty of the situation, we feel prioritizing everyone’s safety is paramount. The more meaningful precautions we take relatively early in the spread of the virus then hopefully we can have greater impact in reducing infections and reducing the long-term impact of the virus.
In this time of social distancing we can feel an increased anxiety and isolation. Please reach out to those close to you, family members, neighbors and close friends both to connect for your own well-being and check-in on theirs. Also please reach out to friends and acquaintances at church and know our Pastoral Care team is available caring@wildflowerchurch.orgfor supportIf anyone is experiencing symptoms or have been confirmed with the virus please let our minister know. Available at minster@wildflowerchurch.org.

Our Keep In Touch group facilitators will be reaching out to the members of their groups to check in and please let them know if you have any immediate needs. At this uncertain time it will take all of us to look out for and support one another.

We remind and encourage everyone to be especially attentive to the following precautions:

  • Please keep up with the recommendations of your local healthy authority.
  • Stay home if sick
  • Wash hands often and thoroughly
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue
  • Avoid sharing utensils and dishes
  • Avoid close contact with those who are sick
  • Wear a mask if going out

We recognize the financial uncertainty is a concern for many of us at this time and in recognition of this we will continue to pay our staff at their expected number of hours.
Please contact us with any questions, thoughts, or concerns.
