In May and June, our spiritual life theme is Sacred Trust.

Title:  To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. ~Audrey Hepburn

Service Description: Gardening is hard? It is an exercise in trust - trusting it will grow, tending the soil, pulling the weeds, learning from things that don’t grow, celebrating the success. Trusting requires openness to the outcome which may not always be comfortable, what we wanted. Inviting others to help eases the pain of being alone in this process, making it a community process.

Brandy Nichols will share her experience with gardening and developing our Three Sisters Garden. Did you know that Wildflower has a garden? Come discover what gardening can teach us about the practice of trust.

Service Leader:  Brandy Nichols

Children and youth in kindergarten through 12th grade will be meeting in person in their classes after being present in the sanctuary for the first part of the service.

There will be games specifically where kids and the young-at-heart can learn more about protecting the Earth. We’ll also have supplies to make art out of garbage to divert it from landfills. All materials will be provided; just bring yourself, your kiddos, and your creatvity.

Help the environment on a personal level by bringing some extra oxygen from our plant sale! 🌱

We'll also have a mending table where we will help with basic repairs to keep your clothing out of the landfill. 🪡

You’ll be able to talk to local businesses and non-profits that help protect the environment.

Our in-kind sponsor, IREP Junk Removal and Resale Shop, will be collecting hard to recycle items.

**Fun fact: IREP stands for “I Recycle Everything Possible”.**

Other guests include BE Wild, STEM Sign, and the Central Texas Cherokee Township.

Bring Your Hard to Recycle Items to the Eco Fair!

Special thanks to our sponsor, IREP Junk Removal and Resale Shop, for collecting hard to recycle items at our Eco Fair!

IREP will have a table with information about their business by the truck. When you drop off your items, we hope you'll take a minute to learn about their services, their resale shop, their commitment to the environment, and the ways they give back to the community.

Help Wildflower Central Texas Interfaith Team Reach Our goal of 200 Voters!

We now have 45 voters signed up who support our issues! It’s a great start- help us get to 200! Just show your family, friends, neighbors CTI’s non- partisan Agenda of Issues and ask if any of these issues are important to them? Then ask them to sign to show support. (We promise we will only contact them a maximum of 3 times !) Return your sign up sheets to Edie, Paula, Keatha, Stacy or Laura or to the box in our Community Room.

You and others told us what issues are most important to you in conversations across CTI's network. we heard so many stories about affordability, immigration, access to health care and more. From these stories we developed CTI's Agenda of Issues. Now it's time to build the power to act and show politicians that people care about these issues- we have to make them listen to us. To do this CTI is conducting a non-partisan Sign Up Take Charge campaign, starting in our institutions, and then engaging the broader community in non-partisan conversations about the issues that matter most to them, and move them to vote! And we need your help to reach Wildflower's goal of 200 voters!

Here's how: Members of the Wildflower CTI Team will be circulating at Coffee Hour, with copies of the Agenda of Issues and Sign Up Take Charge sheets. We are asking Wildflowers to:

1) sign yourself up and

2) take a “Sign Up and Take Charge Sheet” and a copy of the “Agenda of Issues” home with you and sign up others- family, friends, neighbors and

3) return your sheet to Wildflower CTI Team members - Edie, Paula and Keatha

Second Offering for Second Quarter 2026

The second quarter donation will go to Doug Martin's Organization, Central TX Cherokee Township, a community of Cherokees dedicated to Cherokee history, language, culture, heritage, tradition and fellowship. For those who don't know Doug, he has been in partnership with us through our Three Sisters Garden. He generously spent one Sunday sharing wisdom about the community garden, food sovereignty, and the importance of growing food as a community, interspersed with Cherokee stories and culture, and indigenous foodways. Find out more about the Central Texas Cherokee Township and events at the Facebook page:  https://m.facebook.com/groups/121821744545503/?ref=share

Recruiting Volunteers for Sunday Services

Wildflower's Sunday Services are completely volunteer run! If you are interested in volunteering, but not receiving the weekly volunteer recruitment emails, please get in touch with Shiloh Venable (shilohwf@gmail.com) to be added to the email list.

Merch Madness is coming!

The giving team wants to make Wildflower Church t-shirts, and we want you to contribute your design ideas.

These shirts will be a way to identify each other at events, show our WIldflower pride, and raise a little bit of money. They will be available to purchase through a print on demand website. We hope this will be just the beginning. This format allows for selling multiple designs, and we hope to add other "merch" to the line up, like bumper stickers.

Originally, we wanted to have an event in March (hence the name) where we all gathered together to work on designs. However, March is packed full of activities already. So instead, we encourage you to work on your designs in March, and we will have a culminating event later on.

Here are the requirements for your design:
- We will be printing on one side of the t-shirt, only.
- Your design should be no larger than 12 inches x 16 inches.
- The digital file size should be no larger than 200 MB, and you should use RGB colors, not CMYK.
-  Both PNG and JPEG file types are accepted, with either no background or a removable background.
- If you make your design on paper, be aware that it will have to be turned into a digital design, and it will look a little different in the end. (Our culminating event will be a great time to seek out members who are good with graphic design to help translate your paper design to the computer.)

If you have questions or want to submit your design before the event, email giving@wildflowerchurch.org. If your design is digital, please attach the file to the email. If it's on paper, please attach a picture of the design to the email, and we will get back to you if we need the paper copy.

Calling all Makers!

Wildflower Church will be holding a Makers Market in June or July! Nothing is set in stone, but we want to give you a heads up so you can start making things. If you want to help plan the event, please email us at giving@wildflowerchurch.org. (Yes, you can help plan *and* be a vendor.) Finally, give us some feedback about what items you would like to see at the market at this link: https://forms.gle/dreixkKXyEeA9geL7

Explore Camp Wildflower Roots

Camp Wildflower Roots has reserved space in our Community Room for their Innagural Summer Day Camp for children and youth ages 8-13. Shannon Mercer is a special education teacher and UU living in the area. She and other teachers are launching this camp and describe it as “creating an inclusive, welcoming space where all youth — especially queer youth — feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. Living in Texas can feel especially hard right now, and kids need affirming community more than ever.” The camp website [https://www.campwildflowerroots.org/] offers a way to register for the camp (June 8-12, 22-26). Shannon would love to have Wildflowers or others we tell about the camp be a part of this experience.
